About us
The Forum has existed in Ealing in different forms for over 20 years. We have recently been approved as a Charity in the form of a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO).
The CIO's charitable aims are:
To relieve the needs of children and young people, including their parents, carers and families, who have disabilities and/or special educational needs in Ealing and the surrounding area, in order to improve their quality of life, promote their inclusion in their local communities and to help and support them to reach their full potential.
How we are run and the future
We are governed by a board of trustees who have authority and oversight of the executive team and monitor progress in achieving our aims.
In order that the forum remains parent and carer led, we will be creating a Parent Reference group of up to thirteen parent carer volunteers to represent our diverse communities and experience in Ealing and will be guided and advised by them when agreeing our priorities and action plans. If you are interested in becoming part of this group, please email Natasha at info@epcf.org.uk for more information.
We currently receive funding from Ealing Council and the Department of Education to support our aims and will be looking for additional funding now that we are a registered charity.
By bringing together our collective experiences and views in the Ealing Parent and Carer Forum we can focus on solutions and work in partnership with service providers to improve support and care for our children and young people.
